Welcome to TrifectaWord
A fresh daily word puzzle that puts your vocabulary and quick thinking to the test.
What is TrifectaWord?
TrifectaWord is a fast, free word game built around a brand-new puzzle every single day. Each round gives you three columns of clues, and each column hides one answer word. Solve all three, and those answers become the clues to a single final word that connects them all. Race the ten-minute clock to bank the highest score you can.
Every player gets the same daily puzzle, so you can compare your results with friends and climb the global leaderboard. It is easy to pick up, hard to put down, and perfect for a quick brain workout anytime, anywhere.
How it works, in one example
Say the three columns work out to Arctic, Envelope and Soldier. They look unrelated — that is the puzzle. The final word has to fit all three at once:
- a seal is an Arctic animal,
- you seal an envelope,
- and a Navy SEAL is a soldier.
The answer is SEAL: one ordinary word wearing three different meanings. Almost every TrifectaWord puzzle is built on that shape. The how to play guide covers the full rules, the exact scoring formula and what each hint costs, and the puzzle archive has every finished day with its clues and answers.

Frequently asked questions
Is TrifectaWord free to play?
Yes. TrifectaWord is completely free to play in your browser at trifectaword.com or as an app on Android — no purchase required to play the daily puzzle.
How often is a new puzzle released?
A brand-new puzzle is released every day. Every player around the world gets the same daily puzzle, so you can compare scores with friends.
Do I need to create an account to play?
No. You can play as a guest right away, but it's very limited. Signing in with Google unlocks all the features of the game.
How long do I get for each puzzle?
Ten minutes per round. The clock stops if you pause or close the tab and picks up where it left off when you return, because the timer is kept on the server rather than in your browser.
Can I play puzzles I have missed?
Past daily puzzles are retired from the game once their day is over, but every one of them is published in the puzzle archive with its clues and answers. If you want more to actually play, the game has a separate pool of bonus puzzles you can start once the daily one is done.
Where does my score come from?
Scores are calculated on the server, not in your browser. Solving a column from its first clue alone is worth far more than grinding it out letter by letter, and finishing with time left on the clock adds a bonus. The how to play guide lists every number.
